Hotel and Conference Center

For many years, there has been significant interest across the university in establishing a hotel and conference center on campus. This venue would enable the university to host major national conferences and other large events. The university is currently exploring the feasibility of this project, with North Campus being a potential location for the facility.
What’s the timeline for design and launch?
The multi-year project is still in the early stages. If the project moves forward, more specific information may be available by early 2025.
When did this concept begin?
The possibility of a hotel and/or conference center has been raised several times in recent years. The university began early explorations of the concept, dovetailing with the lead-up to Campus Plan 2050.
What would the goals be for a hotel and conference center?
The goal would be to enable the university community to host national events on campus, especially as it pertains to the academic and research community. It is imagined in Campus Plan 2050 to be located on North Campus, adding to a vibrant mixed-use space.
